Job Description |
|
|
|
The primary focus of the Web Editor will be on producing succinct and compelling written materials for the TI website.This would entail working on:
- Repackaging (editing and rewriting) existing website content for new content structure and editorial process
- Drafting new web sections
- Contributing to writing/editing assignments as needed, including human interest stories, blog posts, etc.

Qualifications:
- Master’s or Bachelor’s degree, or equivalent, in Communications, International Relations/Public Affairs, Journalism, Marketing, Political Science or other related disciplines
- Minimum of three years’ experience in writing and/or editing for the web at an international or media organisation
- Superior written English and ability to communicate complex, technical ideas in an accessible and compelling style
- Ability to think creatively about re-packaging solutions
- Detail orientated approach with strong communications research and analytical skills, and ability to rapidly research, analyse and integrate multiple sources
- Strong organisational skills and ability to meet deadlines
- Knowledge of and interest in corruption, development issues and international affairs
- Experience in working with Content Management Systems
- Dynamic self starter; highly motivated, comfortable in taking initiative and able to work with minimum supervision
- Ability to perform as part of a team under pressure
- Organised, dependable, flexible, highly articulate and discreet
- Additional languages, especially Spanish is desirable.
