 Job Description
 
  • With supervision from senior team members, the Analyst will be capable of working throughout the whole life cycle of projects in the natural resources sector.
  • This will be accomplished through marketing, project screening, origination, due diligence, structuring, negotiation, preparation, and monitoring of projects.
  • Work on credit and financial aspects of project development, including financial analysis of companies, production of financial projections and cash-flow models.
  • Participate in monitoring of existing investments, including preparation of regular monitoring reports based on meetings with client, site visits, financial review and other research.
  • Gather and analyse project-related information through research, due diligence and independent inquiry.
  • Gather and research a range of statistics and market data related to the sector.
 Candidate Profile
 

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Minimum of 2+ years of investment banking/project finance experience from a major international financial institution, consulting firm and/or large energy utility company.
  • Preference will be given to candidates with relevant experience in emerging markets, particularly CIS countries.
  • Good relevant degree from a leading university in the country of education.
  • High level of understanding of banking/transaction skills and demonstrable expertise in working on structured operations.
  • Credit analysis skills: ability to interpret accounts, understanding accounting principles and practice of credit analysis.
  • Financial analysis skills: ability to design financial models; identify, understand and help solve complex issues; good knowledge of US GAAP and/or IFRS accounting.
