Job Description |
|
|
- Lead the research, monitoring and evaluation (M&E) strategy of Plan and implementing M&E strategy effectively.
- Design, conduct and coordinate research activities as per the approved Country Strategic Plan (CSP).
- Ensure effective implementation Program Accountability and Learning System (PALS) of Plan. Periodically updating the PALS tracker.
- Support to Program management and Communications Department in dissemination of research and evaluation.finds/results/learning. Interact/network with like-minded civil society organizations to share best practices in M&E.
- Provide technical assistance, capacity building and training support to Plan and its partner staff on research, M&E skills, methodologies and tools.
- Is responsible for a portfolio of research and M&E projects which includes action research studies & operation research, M&E activities, joint studies with partners and other development agencies.
- Strategic and Program Development: Identify opportunities and thematic areas/topics for research, and support the mainstreaming of learning-oriented micro-level planning and M&E approaches to provide inputs in strategic program development.

Qualifications :
- Masters degree in any discipline within the Social sciences.
- Doctorate in Social Science is desirable.
- Fifteen years of work experience in the development sector, of which at least 5 years in strategizing and leading research and M&E projects in a large organizational setup.
- Demonstrated / Proven skills major research projects.
- Experience in leading and managing multidisciplinary team including diverse expertise, experiences and cultures
- Excellent command of English and Hindi (other Indian languages desirable).
Knowledge.
- Extensive knowledge and understanding of the grassroots context in areas where Plan works.
- Knowledge of contemporary methodologies and analytic tools in quantitative and qualitative research and M&E.
- Knowledge of the external program and policy environment relating to development issues both nationally and internationally.
