Job Description |
|
|
- This is a technical role, focused on supporting Christian Aid’s Web systems and database application to ensure appropriate maintenance in line with IS strategy
- To act as 1st and 2nd line support in investigating incidents and resolving these incidents for Web and Database systems.
- To contribute to the work of the Service Desk in the provision of an effective and efficient service for all Christian Aid users
- Reports to the Service Desk Manager
- Liaises with individuals from all levels both inside and outside the organisation
- Collaborates with other Support Analysts on the Service Desk
- Works with members of the Systems Development unit and business users in the
escalation of issues as appropriate. |

Qualifications:
- Degree or equivalent preferable
- A level or equivalent with a recognised qualification in computing
- Technology qualifications ( e.g. MCP in related subjects) preferable
- Foundation Certificate in IT Service Management is desirable
- Considerable experience in dealing with a wide range of users, at all levels in an
organisation
- Considerable computing experience, including delivering support for database applications
in a variety of professional environments
- Relevant technical experience to include , User support, database maintenance
- SQL Server database development and/or administration
- SQL query and report writing required and a knowledge of standard report writing
tools.
