Job Description |
|
|
- Serves as a point person between President Clinton’s office and outside entities in planning President Clinton’s participation in upcoming events.
- Makes decisions about what is best for President Clinton’s schedule with regard to timing, logistics, programs, movements and access.
- Manages ground/advance teams by providing them with necessary contacts, background information, and assistance in order to execute the logistics of President Clinton’s visits.
- Distributes President Clinton’s schedule to authorized personnel.
- Performs some administrative duties, such as ordering cars for traveling staff, preparing distribution materials for speaking engagements, working with building security, etc.

Qualifications:
- Scheduling or event planning experience preferred
- Ability to work in a very fast paced environment
- Ability to manage tight deadlines
- Attention to detail and excellent organizational skills
- Flexibility with schedule and ability to work long hours
- Excellent communication skills
- Political savvy, resourcefulness and understanding of media relations
- Ability to adapt quickly to changing situations
- Ability to work flexible hours, including some nights and weekends
The Assistant Director of Scheduling reports to the Director of Scheduling and Advance.
This position is overtime eligible.
