 Job Description
 
  • Leads and provides oversight to activities to reach fund development goals;
  • Recruits, trains, supervises and evaluates the performance of provincial fund development staff;
  • Develops implements and supervises effective donor-centred development, stewardship and recognition program in all fundraising activities;
  • Leads the provincial fund development staff in defining annual fund raising strategies in their work plans;
  • Supports the building of volunteer capacity within the province for fund development;
  • Collaborates with the provincial and zone leadership teams to establish, implement and achieve strategic fund development activities for the province;
  • Completes analysis of past results and identifies potential for revenue growth to develop a fund raising plan with benchmarks and targets;
  • Develops and maintains strategies and personnel capable of supporting disaster responses and execute fund development business continuity strategies during responses.
 Candidate Profile
 

Qualifications:

Minimum qualifications for this position includes completion of a post secondary education in related field and three to six years of related experience in a fundraising environment, or an equivalent combination of education and experience in the field of marketing and sales.

  • Exceptional verbal and written skills in English essential; fluency in a second language an asset;
  • Strong leadership and team building skills and experience required;
  • A demonstrated track record in fundraising leadership roles with hands on experience in the creation of the idea, selling, building a team approach, building partnerships and achieving financial goals essential;
  • Experience in volunteer management, working with a diverse population and an understanding of cultural issues required;
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a changing environment, to work non-traditional hours, be on-call, carry a pager and respond to emergency/disaster related requirements;
  • Excellent computer skills required; knowledge of Microsoft suite essential; experience with Raiser’s Edge preferred.
