Job Description |
|
|
- Shape an innovative communications strategy to promote RightRides’ work.
- Research, plan, and implement online outreach around womens and GLBTQ safety (including blogs, social networks, web-based publications, and other online communities).
- Develop web marketing and communications campaigns.
- Research and write articles and content for website.
- Pitch new ideas for projects and strategies.
- Put together and mail out press materials.
- Catalog media mentions and organize publications and video materials.

Qualifications:
- Strong interest in violence prevention, community organizing, media, and women’s and LGBTQ safety.
- Ability to take direction, function independently yet work well with others, prioritize duties, manage time effectively, proactively meet deadlines, and be trustworthy and flexible.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Internet research, and Social Networking; knowledge of basic HTML, web design, and Web 2.0 preferred.
- Completed a minimum of two years of undergraduate coursework in a related field; knowledge of safety and anti-violence issues is a plus.
- Commitment of at least 10 hours per week for a period of no less than 12 weeks.
