Job Description |
|
|
- Manage the implementation of overall strategy, and specifically the supply and M&E components of the USI Partnership Project Strategy for Senegal and Niger; adapt the USI Partnership Project Strategy for both Senegal and Niger as necessary
- Identify innovative mechanisms to ensure that the project reaches its goals in Senegal and Niger;
- Identify risks and time, resource or budget constraint and conceptualize options for GAIN management to consider in order to mitigate these;
- Represent GAIN at meetings and conferences in Senegal and Niger as required;
- Liaise with various Government Agencies and Officials, including the Health Department on various aspects of the USI Partnership Project;
- Establish and maintain regular contact with the salt merchants association and other trade bodies;
- Assist GAIN in reporting to donors including preparing and ensuring timely submission of implementation, progress and financial reports to the Geneva-based GAIN USI Manager;
- Facilitate grouping of small scale producers to improve their marketing power;
- Review and update data and information on salt producers (category-wise);

Qualifications:
- At least three years of experience in building public-private partnerships and working on donor-funded health programs.
- Experience in nutrition and/or the salt industry is an advantage.
- Excellent oral and written level French and English are required for the role.
