• Substantive editing (in an electronic publishing environment),copyediting for Health Affairs style and proofreading on all papers accepted for publication in the journal or posting on the web.
  
• Executing author proofing duties and accurately recording authors’changes and comments via Beacon production system.
  
• Sharing all edited material with Chief Copy Editor for constant,consistent coordination of all editing tasks.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree.
  
• Five years’ publication experience, including copyediting.
  
• Strong editing, writing, research, and communications skills.
  
• Computer proficiency (in Windows environment).
  
• XML editing experience preferred.
  
• Strong organizational skills.
  
• Attention to detail,Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment with deadlines.
  
• Knowledge of current health policy issues a plus.
