Job Description |
|
|
- Coordination: Internal coordination involves finding synergies between the various Emergency projects and components and coordination with the advocacy officer and other sector coordinators, so as to determine a clear and unified methodology.
- External coordination involves attending the WASH, NFI/Shelter and Food security clusters and liaising with experienced partners, and building relationships with the civil society.
- Program Development based on the available data and the results of external coordination, gaps will be identified and a programmatic plan will be determined.
- Emergency interventions will be planned according to the foreseen needs and detected vulnerabilities.
- The Sector coordinator will have the task of refining the existing pilot initiatives and building programmatic partnerships.
- The Emergency Sector Coordinator will assist the Project Managers in refining their emergency assistance methodology, sharing knowledge, train and coach the Emergency team members particularly in North Kivu.

Qualifications & Experience:
- M.A. in Social Sciences.
- University degree in social sciences (sociology, anthropology, development, political sciences preferred).
- At least 5 years of international project management (staff supervision must include internationals).
- At least 2 years of Emergency-related project/program management.
- Strong experience in program development (proposal design and writing, strategy design).
- Familiarity with rights-based approach, experience with promotion of rights.
Human rights or rights-based approach training or experience.
