Job Description |
|
|
- Maintain constant communication with AVIPA+ program directors based in provincial capitals to ensure cash for work, agricultural voucher, small grant, and agricultural training activities are rapidly and effectively implemented.
- Serve as the first response to challenges to implementation at the rural district level and devise immediate and effective solutions.
- Monitor program implementation to identify constraints to successful activity completion. Work with AVIPA+ staff and any others to overcome implementation obstacles.
- Report on constraints and progress to the relevant AVIPA + Director or Provincial Agricultural Director.
- Ensure ongoing coordination of the AVIPA + supported activities with relevant GoIRA, community, ISAF and USG agencies.
- Participate and represent AVIPA+ in all relevant district and provincial level GoIRA, community, ISAF and USG agency stability, counterinsurgency or alternative livelihood coordination meetings.

Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree or commensurate experience required.
- Minimum five years experience living and working in a developing country environment.
- Proven ability to work with developing country nationals, civil society, and government staff.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills; a self starter who requires little supervision to get the job done.
- Experience working and living under difficult and hazardous conditions required.
