INTRODUCTION
The International Labour Organization is planning to recruit
qualified English text-processing operators on a temporary basis.
The
Text Processing Services Section (TRAITEXT) carries out all
text-processing and transcription services for the official meetings
organized by the ILO.
Description of Duties
1. Copy type in draft and final form according to Office standards in one language.
2. Word process recorded texts.
3. Type dictation directly onto the PC.
4. Type statistical tables and other tabular material.
5. Format documents, including table of contents, according to the established rules for final production.
6. Proofread documents prepared in the unit.

Education Completed secondary or commercial school. Commercial or secretarial training.
Experience
A minimum of two years working experience in text processing.
Languages
Excellent knowledge of the English language.
Competencies
· Knowledge of basic text processing functions. · Good
dictaphone skills with a typing speed of 50 wpm. Successful completion
of the typing test (speed, manuscript and Dictaphone) is compulsory. · Experience using MS Word and Excel and other related programs. · Ability to work in an international environment and as part of a team. · Willing to work shifts during meetings, conferences and weekends when necessary.
