Job Description |
|
|
- Monitoring and Support: Make monitoring visits to all partners in the Region.
- Monitoring visits must match financial progress with actual project activities.
- Formally assess capacity of new partners to meet minimum requirements as per WaterAid guidelines and making recommendations.
- Finance Information management and Reporting: Responsible for oversight of all finance related information and reporting systems (Global Accounting System and any other). Responsible for all financial reporting of the region including finance section of the donor reports.
- Value for money: Ensure funds are used appropriately, according to the budget and obtain value for money.
- Internal Controls and Partner systems: Check the internal controls of partner organisations according to WaterAid requirements especially with regard to recording and safeguarding of assets. Prepare and update a manual containing financial guidelines for partners.
- Administration: Ensure adherence to administrative policies and procedures help in implementation to establish appropriate levels of security and systems. Manage procurement and the proper maintenance of hardware and updating including computer software.
- Assets maintenance of assets inventory system.This includes,updating the asset database and ensure proper and adequate insurance coverage
of the assets.
- Training: Identify needs, facilitate and co-ordinate financial training programmes for partners.Training should be an integral part of the support function and an ongoing activity.

Qualifications :
- Chartered accountant or equivalent qualification.
- Additional qualification in procurement and audit.
- Minimum five years experience
- Minimum two years experience partner monitoring role.
- Experience of using accounting package and spread sheets.
- Experience of working in a team.
- Experience in monitoring accounts.
- Supporting training of accountants.
