Job Description |
|
|
- Administers the day-to-day operations of the Center consistent with Banks culture and business objectives. Participates in defining goals and objectives for the occupational health nursing services. Develops, administers and evaluates procedures and processes for internal clinical services consistent with Standards of Practices in Occupational Health, Develops policy and procedural guidelines for HSC.
- Develops strategic planning, organizes and controls HSC program through the application of sound management principles and concepts.
- Designs and implements HSC organizational structure that enables attainment of desired program goals and objectives, including: disease case management (especially sick leave and return-to-work cases); first-aid and emergency treatment, follow-up and referrals; assessment, evaluation, and resolution of job-related injuries and illnesses (e.g., ergonomic-related cases); emergency preparedness/disaster planning; and gatekeeper for health promotion and disease prevention activities.
- Develops health education programs that encourage workers to take responsibility for their own health, such as smoking cessation, exercise/fitness, nutrition and weight control, stress management, control of chronic illnesses and effective use of medical services. Provides advice to sick leave and disability committee.
- Promotes an interdisciplinary approach to health care. Develops and manages partnerships within the organization, as well as with external providers in order to provide effective case management of clients.
- Develops systems to identify cost savings and other benefits of a strong and effective HSC program.

Qualifications:
- BSN (Bachelor of Science in Nursing) and Masters degree or equivalent in nursing administration, occupational health, public health, health education, or other relevant field.
Experience:
- Minimum 10 years of relevant experience in related duties, including at least 5 years in a supervisory position and 3 years providing health services to international clients.
- Familiarity with healthcare systems in member countries is required.
- Position requires specialized knowledge, skills and abilities of occupational health principles, methods, and techniques.
- Requires strong knowledge and skills in assessment, diagnosis, and treatment of varying illnesses and injuries.
