Job Description |
|
|
The philanthropy team raises funds from individuals, foundations and others to provide financial support for Christian Aids work. The team consists of 20 people. This role will build on the initial success of grants that have been received from the US to develop greater funding from these sources and support the ongoing work with wealth advisors in the UK.
- The development of an outline strategy for raising funds from the US is supported to ensure that agreed income targets are met, US funders are identified and plans devised to approach them
- Relationships with potential US supporters are developed and maintained to ensure continued donations for Christian Aid
- Christian Aids income from US fundraising sources is increased through effective and persuasive applications
- By working with key CA stakeholders, existing links to the US are exploited
Timely and appropriate reports are sent to US donors to demonstrate the impact of their donations
- All grants from US funders are administered in line with Christian Aids policies and procedures.

Qualifications:
- Degree or equivalent qualification.
- Knowledge of international development
- Experience of developing successful high value fundraising from at least two of the following sources: major donors, companies and foundations.
- Effective networker and influencer
- Proven ability to write effective proposals.
- US fundraising experience
- Ability to make presentations
- Fluent in second language
- Ability to work stategically.
