 Job Description
 
  • Developing job advertisements, creating and updating job descriptions, in conjunction with Heads of Departments.
  • Managing recruitment and selection processes, devising selection tests in conjunction with line managers, organising and assisting in the selection process.
  • Initiating and providing support in performance management process including induction, probationary reviews and annual appraisals.
  • Managing training and development activities; reviewing training applications with the management committee, maintaining budget, organising group training sessions, etc
  • Administering staff compensation; monthly payroll and benefits schemes including Group Personal Pension, Group Life, Group Accident Schemes.
  • Supporting line managers in dealing with day-to-day HR matters; advising them on HR policies and compliance with relevant legislation; i.e. employment and immigration law
  • Undertaking personnel administration; including maintaining attendance records and employee files.
 Candidate Profile
 

Qualifications:

  • Graduate degree in HR management or other relevant field.
  • Experience in human resource management, preferably in higher education and/or research establishments.
  • Knowledge of employment and immigration law and HR practices within the UK.
  • Excellent people-management skills and an ability to work with people from a variety of disciplines and backgrounds.
