Job Description |
|
|
- Evaluating open source transition on its current effectiveness.
- Suggesting and implementing ideas to improve the effectiveness and productivity of the MIA.
- Training and general staff support during the transition, Managing the implementation of new IT software.
- Providing training and support to staff as required, Supporting staff on software, hardware, and network systems.
- Contacting vendor and carrier support when necessary to resolve problems and/or outages.
- Providing continuous feedback to Director of Operations on the status and usage of IT systems.

Qualifications:
- Degree in Computer Science, Engineering or related field.
- At least 2 years experience in IT management.
- Previous exposure to an open source environments.
- Advanced skills in Windows XP and Ubuntu Linux Desktops/Servers.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- A commitment to MIA’s mission and values.
