• Provide consultancy and capability development services and technical advice to countries and international teams to raise the quality of our national and international communications outputs and thereby raise profile, influence and funds.
  
• To support the creation and sharing of quality, relevant multimedia communications Content’ to help raise ActionAid’s profile and influence through the delivery of effective communication nationally and internationally.
  
• Undertake communications work directly in response to big opportunities, emergency situations or reputational risks.
  
• Manage Communications strategies & plans for achievement of priority International Campaign, Policy, and Thematic objectives.

Qualifications:

• Strategic thinking and planning skills and experience of producing, coordinating and implementing multi-media strategies for specific events/projects/issues and communication strategies.
  
• Capacity building experience including training, facilitating, coaching and mentoring.
  
• Experience of organisational development, the structuring teams, recruitment and staff development.
  
• Experience of working in an international environment, exceptional interpersonal skills to develop effective working relationships quickly with people from many different cultural backgrounds and preferably experience of working in communications in other countries.
  
• Each advisor must have a high level technical capability across more than one of the core communications disciplines.
