Job Description |
|
|
|
The successful candidate will have responsibility for:
- Developing strategy and obtaining funds to start implementing new programming on Governance in Liberia, Guinea and Sierra Leone.
- Conducting research and advocacy on the role of the World Bank and UN peacebuilding institutions in Liberia.
- and thereafter, managing the project and its resources.
In order to be successful in this role, you will have a talent for analysing complex issues, for developing persuasive practical ideas, and for putting yourself in the shoes of the person or people with whom you are communicating so that you understand the world as they see it. You also know how to build strategic relationships with NGOs, government and private sector entities and individuals in the sub-region. |

Skills:
With a relevant post-graduate degree, (preferably in a subject related to peacebuilding), and at least three years experience of working in a peacebuilding environment, you also have solid experience of devising strategy and raising funds. You are skilled in grant, financial, and project management and can also draw on your strong analytical and research skills to raise awareness and understanding of Good Governance. You write clearly and concisely in English, and speak and understand French well enough for most professional situations.
