Job Description |
|
|
- To coordinate and manage the creation of a new International Programs division for Save the Children International, with strong, empowered Country and Regional Offices integrated and aligned with our mission, vision and values - an ambitious change programme to successfully build a strong cohesive organisation – a leading influence for children worldwide.
- Provide expertise to enable Country Directors and Senior Managers to lead a structured approach to organizational change, ensuring overall consistency, matched with local flexibility
- Facilitate and guide the development of comprehensive, viable and scaleable organisation designs in-country to increase their reach and impact for children
- Coordinate and guide the development of robust implementation plans to enable timely transition to the new organisation
- Facilitate the embedding of our new culture and values throughout the organisation
- Facilitate the transfer of learnings/experience between countries and across regions
- Ensure that our methodology is rigorously reviewed
- Actively participate in gathering and disseminating lessons learned
- Carry out any other duties either additional to or instead of those outlined above which are considered to be within the individual’s level of competence.

Qualifications:
- Extensive post-merger integration or new organisation start-up change management planning and implementation experience, preferable on a global basis
- Strong influencing and negotiating skills
- A skilled coach, with the ability to modulate style to motivate others without direct line management
- Highly credible, with a good track record in tact and diplomacy
- Culturally aware – adapts own behaviours/style in light of cultural environment
- Collaborative in approach, with the ability to remain neutral/independent
- Applies personal organisation strategies and processes to prioritise and effectively manage a large and diverse workload in a pressured environment
- Strong time management skills with an ability to plan ahead, anticipate requirements, problems and obstacles, and an ability to juggle competing priorities successfully, whilst working to tight deadlines.
- A self-motivator who sets and achieves ambitious goals
- Results oriented with a demonstrated ability to think strategically, to analyse complex information and offer creative, practical solutions.
- Verbal and written fluency in English, with strong presentational skills
- Fluency in Spanish is essential
- Maintain a calm disposition and positive outlook when working under pressure
- Intellectually flexible – a lateral thinker, open to new ideas and methodologies
- Trustworthy in all aspects of the role
- Self- motivated and able to work with high degree of autonomy
- Commitment to the aims, objectives and values of Save the Children
- Internationally mobile - the role involves a significant amount of international travel.
