• Responsible to ensure organization meets all local legal requirements, prepare Board meetings, & call extraordinary Board & Executive Committee meetings when required.
  
• Represent MFI & maintain relationships w/ external contacts.

• Responsible for day-to-day management of internal audit team, recognizing their direct reporting line to local Board & the HI Internal Audit.

Qualifications:

• Personal confession of faith in Jesus Christ & passionate commitment to HOPE’s mission.
  
• Minimum 3 years exp. in microfinance programs or banking w/ good accounting background.
  
• Minimum 3 years experience in international development.
  
• Qualifying degree in finance, accounting, business admin. or related.
  
• Strong knowledge of microfinance best practices & experience in (or willingness to learn) financial modeling.
  
• Skilled leader w/ good understanding of cross-cultural comm., workplace relationships, & ability to relate to & motivate local staff.
  
• Excellent written, verbal & computer communication skills. Computer literacy in MS Office & willingness to learn MIS loan tracking software.
  
• Ability to interface w/ various audiences.
  
• Highly flexible; able to live & work cross-culturally in developing world.
