• Gather, prepare and disseminate public information on IOMs activities worldwide in written reports in English and verbally as a spokesperson in English and French.
  
• Write and edit public information and communication material for IOM press briefing notes,press releases, website, Migration magazine and Video News Releases.
  
• Strengthen links with national and international media to promote the work of IOM by providing prompt, high quality responses to media enquiries related to IOM programmes and policies and on migration issues.
  
• Liaise with IOM missions worldwide and with media relations and communication departments of partner organisations, including UN agencies, International Organizations and Non-governmental Organizations.
  
• Perform such other duties as may be assigned.

Qualifications :

• University degree in Journalism, Communication and International Affairs or an equivalent combination of relevant training and experience.
  
• Five years of relevant work experience particularly writing and editing - in journalism and/or public information.
  
• Experience in writing and designing brochures, fact sheets and other promotional materials.
