• Act as the focal point for CMS and Media monitoring training of communication colleagues.
  
• Support external partners, NS membership and Zone and Secretariat colleagues on all issues to do with managing the news pipeline for the website and media monitoring and evaluation.
  
• Coordinate translation of all required text working closely with the editorial and corporate communication team.
  
• Ensure a good flow of communication between the unit and zone communication managers.
  
• Ensure key communication systems are maintained and kept up to date (e.g. directories and mailing lists).
  
• Ensure distribution, printing and translation of news releases, Undertake research as required by the Unit Manager.

Qualifications & Experience:

• University degree in journalism, communications, marketing or international relations preferred.
  
• At least 5 years as journalist and/or Communications Officer / Press officer preferred.
  
• Experience in addressing communications issues and complex and delicate situations
  
• Strong track record in communication planning and delivering projects.

Skills:

• Experience in uploading and managing web content.
  
• Excellent writing and editing in English (for press relations and web related materials)
  
• Knowledge of editing online using HTLM and Dreamweaver packages.
