 Job Description
 
  • Coordinate collection of payroll data from all GPAP offices.
  • Conduct fortnightly payroll for the Australian, Fiji, PNG & Solomon Is. staff.
  • Conduct monthly payroll for Australian crew members on Greenpeace ships.
  • Prepare end of year reconciliation and payment summaries.
  • Ensure annual CPI/LPI adjustments are made as soon as data is available.
  • Ensure payroll system and employee data is kept up to date.
  • Prepare and distribute management & payroll reports.
  • Assist with the preparation of HR reports.
  • Liaise with finance to assist with reconciliation of payroll, superannuation etc.
  • Prepare and distribute timesheets.
  • Liaise with administration staff in remote offices concerning payroll matters.
  • Attend to staff enquiries concerning pay and other conditions of employment.
  • Maintain payroll records.
  • Assist with monitoring compliance with policy and procedure.
  • Research systems, processes and policy.
  • Ensure that payroll filing is accurate and confidential.
  • Coordinate and conduct general filing, and archiving.
  • Assist with the administration of HR Information System.
  • Create and maintain payroll procedures manual.
  • Other duties as directed by the HR Manager.
 Candidate Profile
 

Qualifications:

  • 2-4 years of experience in a comparable role.
  • Experience using payroll software, preferably Rockfast Revelation HRIS.
  • Demonstrable knowledge of payroll and tax legislation and the implementation of these in payroll practices.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Strong verbal & written communication skills.
  • Demonstrated initiative.
  • Ability to work under pressure.
  • High level of organisational skills.
  • Strong computing skills.
  • Commitment to the environment and the core values of Greenpeace.
  • Demonstrated team values.
  • Experience in a similar organisation.
  • Tertiary qualifications in payroll, accounting or human resources.
  • Knowledge of Rockfast Revelation HRIS.
