• Contribute to the fine mapping of the major QTLs for grain yield under lowland drought
  
• Contribute to the introgression of the identified regions in the popular high yielding but drought susceptible varieties
  
• Write scientific reports, manuscripts for publication and contribute to the dissemination of research results
  
• Collaborate with drought research team at IRRI and international and NARES partners.

Qualifications:

• PhD in plant breeding, biotechnology or related fields
  
• Practical experience in QTLs fine mapping and introgression
  
• Fluent in written and oral English
  
• Working experience in QTLs identification for grain yield under drought/QTLs for grain yield, introgression of QTLs
  
• Strong organizational skills and a good publication record
  
• Proven ability to perform in a multidisciplinary and multicultural environment.
