• To support programme teams and other colleagues in Christian Aid in developing programmes, raising and managing restricted institutional income and promoting positive engagement with donors to achieve transformational growth by increased impact, scale and leverage.
  
• Institutional funding opportunities fully identified to fit Christian Aid priority areas and partners through research and intelligence and funding strategy and action plans developed.
  
• Programme development work supported, concept notes, full bids and tenders completed.
  
• Effective negotiation (supported by senior staff) and liaison with donors and through networks achieved for development and emergency programmes opportunities and outcomes.

Qualifications:

• University degree or equivalent qualification, High level of numeracy & good analytical ability.
  
• A degree in development studies or related subject.
  
• Understanding of international development issues, Financial controls and procedures.
  
• Planning, monitoring and reporting on development or emergency programmes.
  
• Excellent numeracy skills for budgeting and financial analysis, Excellent verbal communication and presentation skills in English.
  
• Confidence to deal with senior people within Christian Aid and other agencies, Excellent IT skills especially word processing and spreadsheets Desirable.
  
• Relevant field based development or emergency experience in a developing country.
