Job Description |

|
- IT for Change is looking for a Research Assistant with strong interest and some expertise in the field of governance and participatory development, to support our current and future research and advocacy work.
- The profile involves supporting the research process, bringing out publications and working closely with the research and advocacy team.
- The candidate will be expected to take on related programmatic responsibilities in the organisation, prepare policy briefs and communication material, undertake dissemination of research findings for influencing change, organise national and international meetings and workshops, and continuously endeavour to broaden the organisations network of allies.

| Qualifications:
- The candidate should have a postgraduate qualification in social sciences.
- A reasonable theoretical grounding in participatory and rightsbased development frameworks, strong analytical and writing skills and high quality research calibre are a precondition.
- While some acquaintance with ICTs for development and information society issues is preferable, it is not absolutely necessary for candidates with a keen interest in learning about and building competencies in the area of information society, governance and citizenship.
