Job Description |
|
|
- Provide general research assistance for the planning, design and execution of orthopaedic and trauma research projects, including participation in research design,library and Internet research and experimental work.
- Recruit volunteers, and conduct experiments with volunteers using joint measurement and measurement from digital images.
- Prepare and study histology slides of tissues including bone.
- Perform laboratory studies on animal or human tissue samples.
- Collect, collate and analyse data including use of the appropriate computer programs such as Excel, Access, SPSS or Sigma stat, as well as written records.
- Prepare results of research work for publication as journal papers or conference presentations, including maintaining a bibliography, formatting and proofreading.

Qualifications:
- Demonstrated ability to conduct general research.
- Evidence of well developed organisational and project management skills.
- Experience in using computer software for data collection, analysis and word processing.
- Ability to work and communicate effectively, both orally and in writing and work effectively as part of a team.
- Experience in preparation of material for presentation purposes and publication.
