Job Description |
|
|
- Strengthen the ongoing HID ( Human and Institution ) programme further, by consistently and appropriately monitoring, evaluating, innovating new ideas and thoughts, and provide timely inputs according to the laid vision and mandate of the HID programme.
- Guide and monitor various projects, within the broader HID programme, viz local governance capacity building, civil society capacity building, SHG (Self Help Group) capacity building, state capacity building, business association capacity building, etc. as per their laid goal and direction; including.
- Design and ensure qualitative implementation of capacity building plan for a wide range of development actors, including state, with minimal external assistance.
- Design appropriate tools and techniques and employ the same to track the institutional maturity of a wide range of CSOs (Civil Society Organization), including the local governance bodies, covered under various ongoing capacities building process.
- Directly undertake high order training and other capacity building events for building the capacities of state actors and wide range of CSOs.
- Build the capacity of the national staff members and prepare them for programme delivery.
- Develop and maintain network at an appropriate and required level with other key capacity building institutions and work as a conduit for knowledge transfer.
- Objectively engage with key state agencies, international donors, INGOs (International Non-Govermental Organization) and actively contribute to all front line capacity building processes, in Afghanistan.
- Directly involved in developing training modules for various training courses around development, management and governance issues, whenever required.

Qualifications:
- Required Qualifications and Experience.
- Relevant postgraduate degree from an internationally reputable academic institution.
- A minimum of seven years experience in dealing with local governance/civil society, particularly directly working on capacity building of local governance bodies and CSOs, including proven experience of assessing capacity building needs of the Government, NGOs ( Non-Govermental Organization), community-based organizations, and the private sector through appropriate frame works and techniques.
- Possesses decent understanding and experience of designing and delivering long term and result oriented capacity building plan for various development actors, including state, including familiarity and command over key capacity building approaches and their implementation.
- Proven ability in liaising with the provincial government, UN bodies, NGOs, and the media. Possesses training commands at least on the theme of community mobilization,
- Participatory Development, Participatory project management, Gender sensitization and planning, Participatory micro planning, Local Governance, advocacy, Training of trainers, Organization management, conflict resolution, Development communication, Process documentation, Participatory rural appraisal, etc.
- Proven leadership skills, acquired in a challenging multicultural environment, combined with the energy of a self-starter, imagination, initiative and drive.
- Fluency in written and spoken English.
- Proven ability to work with minimum supervision.
- Proven ability in team-building and strong organizational, interpersonal and negotiations skills, particularly in cross-cultural contexts.
- Ability to speak Dari will be an advantage.
