• AWF is recruiting a Senior Programme Design Officer to generate funding from public sector sources for AWF’s programme in eastern Africa, to be based at either at AWF’s Headquarters in Nairobi, Kenya or its field office in Arusha, Tanzania.
  
• The Senior PD Officer leads on fundraising from government and professional foundation donors for AWF’s work in priority landscapes (known as Heartlands in AWF) in Kenya and Tanzania, and supports fundraising for AWF’s work in Rwanda, Uganda and the Democratic Republic of Congo.

Qualifications:

• Reputable Undergraduate and Postgraduate qualifications required in relevant field(s): including economics, business management, conservation, natural resource management, rural development.
  
• Substantial experience of working at a responsible level in conservation, including direct experience in conservation in Africa, and a strong track record in raising significant volumes of restricted funding.
  
• Demonstrable experiencing of effective fundraising, marketing, donor presentations and policy dialogue.
  
• Demonstrable commitment to AWF’s mission and understanding of issues faced by AWF in delivering its mission.
