Job Description |
|
|
- Liaison with SSRRC, FFP, WFP, and sub-recipient and partners in Juba and all locations in Sudan pertaining commodities.
- Prepare annual commodity and financial budgets for food program to support programming needs in coordination.
- Approve and submit Job Orders for dispatch of food to field locations on timely bases to ensure sufficient supply of commodities in the field for program.
- Follow up on the shipment and clearance, and eventual delivery at distribution sites.
- Ensure the Commodity Control Officers at Juba and field level are aware of requirements of regulatory compliance regarding food commodities and adherence to them.
- Coordinate and manage CRS’ Food Aid programs in Southern Sudan.
- Work with the local government and communities to identify projects that have beneficial impact in the communities.
- Ensure community participation in identifying, planning and implementing of the various food program categories.
- Ensure participation of women in all aspects of food programs.
- Ensure the timely delivery of food to project sites and their distribution to eligible beneficiaries.
- Ensure that technical assistance is provided to partners in the implementation of FFR/FFW projects
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date files for each program areas/category.

Qualifications:
- Possess a graduate degree in a development related field, or its equivalent.
- Sound management skills including a minimum of 3 years of field management experience in a development agency.
- Understanding of program cycles and project management and good analytical & conceptual skills.
- Excellent interpersonal and negotiation skills, Excellent communications skills, both oral and written.
- Ability to exercise sound judgment and make decisions independently,
- Extremely flexible, and have the ability to cope with stressful situations,
- Ability to relate to and motivate local staff effectively, Ability to work as a team player in a challenging environment,
- Ability to represent the Agency in high level meetings with donors, local Church, and local government.
- Proven ability to be an effective supervisor of staff of varying levels of responsibility.
- Demonstrated ability to provide leadership in strategic planning initiatives,
- Capacity to understand and promote good security protocol.
