Job Description |
|
|
- Provide oversight of and technical input into the design and delivery of specific workforce and entrepreneurship skills development work streams, including support in the assessment of skills development needs and priorities; the development of training plans, curriculum and training approaches; project design and implementation; and the delivery of relevant trainings as needed.
- Support curriculum development and assessment in areas including life skills, youth friendly services, and career counseling, among other areas related to youth employability and entrepreneurship.
- Identify capacity building needs within local NGO partners and government entities, and design and provide capacity building services in light of these needs.
- Lead in the coordination and execution of monitoring and evaluation activities related to select MENA programs, working with headquarters and field staff in reviewing M&E data, troubleshooting areas of challenges, assisting in fulfilling reporting requirements, tracking project performance and helping identify best practices for replication/expansion.
- Identify areas for evaluation and learning activities, as well as learning events of importance to the broader stakeholder community.
- Conduct project monitoring visits to examine technical rigor of interventions and report on project activities on a regular basis.

Qualifications:
- At least 7 years experience working in a similar position on related youth development programming in the region. Experience working on Public-Private Partnerships is preferred.
- A Master’s degree or equivalent in Workforce Development, Education or a closely related field.
- Proven track record of successfully working with the public sector, the private sector, and/or civil society, community based organizations, local communities, local government and donors and in developing effective capacity building methods.
- Strong experience in designing and implementing M&E systems, as well as reviewing and analyzing M&E data.
- Experience in curriculum development and training. Experience in life skills and career counseling training preferred.
- Solid “troubleshooting” skills and sound judgment in dealing with partners experiencing implementation challenges.
- Excellent strategic planning, presentation, team-building and interpersonal skills, as well an analytical ability to identify and establish priorities and attend to all details in a professional manner.
- Demonstrated ability to find viable solutions to complicated problems in a flexible, time-sensitive and creative manner.
- Experience working on USAID-funded programs in the Middle East region preferred.
- Excellent writing skills.
- Fluency in Arabic preferred.
