Job Description |
|
|
- Primarily responsible for creating the look and feel of Ocean Conservancys Web site and materials.
- Works with the web producer and program teams to develop and refine visual communication needs and ideas.
- Develops graphic designs that effectively communicate Ocean Conservancy’s program work.
- Manages Ocean Conservancy’s digital assets management system and photo library.
- Works within the Convio content management system (CMS) to create and update web site content with graphics and images.
- Works within the Convio customer relationship management (CRM) system to build email templates.
- Conducts quality control and proofing of web and email content and development, to include cross-browser and cross-platform compatibility tests.
- Delivers level-of-effort estimates on web development and content creation for online project planning purposes.
- Creates and uploads images and other graphics using PhotoShop and/or FlashMX.

Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Graphic Design or Fine Arts preferred, or equivalent professional experience.
- 1-3 years experience producing or developing dynamic Web sites; excellent visual communications skills.
- Strong understanding of online communications, industry best practices, and accessibility standards.
- Ability to multi-task under tight deadlines and adapt to change; proficient on PC and Mac platforms, Adobe Creative Suite, including Photoshop, InDesign, Illustrator, and Flash.
- Microsoft office experience with content management systems required, preferably Convio or GetActive.
- Experience with Video/Audio editing software a plus.
