Job Description |
|
|
- Ensure the smooth day to day running of the IUCN website system.
- Support web content updating with the help of the Web Support Officer and other IUCN staff, including image editing and HTML page creation.
- Create and maintain Web Content Management System (WCMS) training material, highlighting best practices.
- Ensure optimal use of WCMS by managing article categories, shortcuts, user accounts and profiles.
- Provide web-management support and training to web managers and communications focal points throughout the secretariat.
- Respond to queries from the public (web users).
- Ensure visual identity and global communications standards are respected across the website, assisting with transformations where necessary.

Qualifications:
- Masters degree in communications or a related subject.
- 5 years experience managing a website.
- Experience in working in a multinational, multicultural environment, either in a major commercial company or international organization with fundraising activities.
- Project management and ability to handle numerous tasks at the same time.
- Good knowledge of HTML, XML and JavaScript.
- Good understanding of web technologies (web programming and on-line databases).
- Image editing skills (Photoshop and/or Fireworks).
- A good eye for web design.
- Good knowledge of SEO and online marketing techniques.
