Presentation of the Red Cross

With 69 projects in 22 countries of intervention, in the same way as in the professions it develops and implements in France, the French Red Cross abroad places all of its missions in a sustainable humanitarian action plan. This translates into an articulation of emergency, post-emergency, crisis exit and reconstruction activities aimed at improving efficiency. The objective is to carry out actions with lasting effects and to enable populations to regain their full autonomy. The post

The internship takes place within the Department of International Human Resources (RHI) in a dynamic team which ensures the management of human resources for international operations. In addition to his contribution to the administrative follow-up of the Delegates in International Mission (DMI), the intern will have the opportunity to evolve in a humanitarian context and to develop his skills in the field of human resources. Under the responsibility of the DMI administrative management officer, he / she participates in the administrative management of the delegates, after a training period. By offering DMI personalized follow-up and optimal departure and working conditions, the RHI Department represents real support for delegates,


  • Participate in the administrative management of approximately 160 expatriates in compliance with the procedures in place.
  • Provide support to the monitoring and recruitment office for delegates on international missions.
  • Contribute to the strengthening of human resources management tools.


  • Support for the person in charge of the administrative management of the DMI in her daily tasks, among which:
  • Affiliation of DMI to social protection organizations (CFE, mutual and pension)
  • URSSAF declarations
  • Briefings and debriefings for expatriates on their departure and return from mission
  • Insurance registration
  • DMI payroll entries linked to HRD
  • Preparation of extension riders and various certificates
  • Mail and invoice management
  • Payroll management
  • Audit management
  • Archive management

Strengthening of human resources management tools: support for the development of new HR tools to facilitate the monitoring of delegates, implementation of statistical studies / assessment of human resources

Profile of the candidate
Training: BAC + 4/5 in Human Resources Management and administration or in humanitarian and development.

Skills to be developed:

  • Rigor in administrative management
  • Good relationship with expatriate staff and the various contacts at headquarters
  • Mastery of computers
  • Knowledge of the humanitarian environment and the headquarters
