The Assistant Program Coordinator is a member of the IHSAN program team. She/he assists in the coordination of IHSAN nutrition, livelihood and WASH interventions by assisting the Program Coordinator. The Assistant Program Coordinator reports directly to the Program Coordinator.

Accountabilities/Responsibilities

  • Assist Program Coordinator for coordination of over all activities internal among the units and externally with subcontractors, grantees and government partners under the guidance of program coordinator.
  • Assist the Program Coordinator in timely conduction and cofacilitation of the coordination workshops with Ministry of Agriculture, Irrigation and Livestock (MAIL) on quarterly, semi-annual and annual basis.
  • Assist the Program Coordinator in timely conduction and cofacilitation of the coordination workshops with Public Nutrition Directorate (PND), MoPH on quarterly, semi-annual and annual basis.
  • Assist the Program Coordinator in timely conduction and cofacilitation of the coordination workshops with RuWatSIP/Ministry of Rural Rehabilitation and Development (MRRD) on quarterly, semi-annual and annual basis.
  • Assist the Program Coordinator with follow up of workshops’ action points conducting with relevant ministries.
  • Assist the Program Coordinator with follow up of meetings’ action points conducting by IHSAN subcontractors with relevant directorates and AFSeN committee at provincial level.
  • Any other tasks assigned by the supervisor.

Travel Requirements: 15-20%

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in the relevant field would be an advantage.
  • Good communication skills
  • Computer skills; particularly in the use of Word, PowerPoint and Excel
  • Ability and willingness to travel
  • Proficiency written and spoken English.
  • Fluency in Dari and Pashto
