Responsibilities:

  • Consultation Design & Facilitation - Develop a detailed consultation plan, including methodology, tools, and guiding questions.
  • Facilitate structured online group discussions with RCs/HCs, UNCTs/HCTs, Regional Directors, and HQ stakeholders. 
  • Consolidate notes from consultations.
  • Triangulate insights across country, regional, and global perspectives.
  • Prepare a draft Lessons Learned Note capturing common themes, gaps, and recommendations. 
  • Design and facilitate an in-person consolidation workshop with DCO, OCHA, RC/HCs, and selected external partners.
  • Conduct foresight exercises and group work to validate and stress-test findings.
  • Document workshop outcomes, including agreed follow-up mechanisms. 
  • Integrate feedback from HQs and workshop participants. 
  • Produce a final Lessons Learned Report with an Executive Summary.
  • Support dissemination across DCO, OCHA, and partner networks.

Requirements:

  • A Masters degree in business administration, management, economics or a related field is required. 
  • All candidates must submit a copy of the required educational degree. Incomplete applications will not be reviewed.
  • At least 10 years of progressively responsible experience in humanitarian, development, or peacebuilding contexts is required.
  • Proven expertise in facilitation, organizational learning, and lessons learned methodologies is required.
  • Strong analytical and drafting skills, with the ability to synthesize complex multi-stakeholder processes is required.
  • English and French are the working languages of the United Nations Secretariat.
  • For this position, fluency in English is required and knowledge of Arabic is desirable.)
