ACF projects cover the whole of the south of the country, as well as the capital region Antanarivo, and ACF also has a strong presence and influence at national level in terms of advocacy, support for the structuring of civil society and in emergency response to disasters.

ACF ensures the link of its interventions between humanitarian and development response. Our country programs are characterized by integrated approaches, focused on strengthening systems (health systems in particular), a strong partnership strategy, innovative methods and an important environmental dimension.

Living conditions:

The city of Ambovombe is landlocked, and reachable by the city of Fort Dauphin (4 hours of track), itself accessible from the capital by commercial plane. The development of this city is limited, and the activities available, just as much. However, it is also a small Humanitarian Hub where a small expatriate community exists (NGO / UN). The region is nonetheless less magnificent, and offers opportunities for nature discovery. Fort Dauphin nevertheless remains the well-being retreat, with the opportunity to go there for professional reasons or on weekends. The city of Bekily is small and isolated (5 hours from Ambovombe Road).

High temperature, wind and sand are the climatic conditions of the area. The security conditions are stable and without risk, in the living areas. However, certain intervention zones at the security validation site before deployment and the risks for our teams are regularly warned of attacks by Dahalo (organized and armed thief of Zebu).

The expatriate has an ACF guest house, also a place of passage during the coordination visit. A break every 3 months offers access to the endless beauty of the Big Island or of the meeting (Direct flight Ford Dauphin / Reunion).
