Closing Date for Applications:
- Lead the on-going programmes such as Sustainable Livelihood development, Natural Resource Management and Stakeholder capacity development by undertaking innovative interventions that ensure achieving sustainable income generation opportunities, food and nutritional security to the poor and vulnerable communities of the intervention sites; Manage the resources (staff, assets, financial resources) efficiently and effectively to achieve the programme deliverables and ensure timely achievement of these deliverables and reporting as mandated by MSSRF’s governance. Involve in Fund raising with consent of MSSRF by submitting relevant proposals with innovative action programmes to local, national and international agencies. Ensure adequate publications in various forms (both scientific and popular) and dissemination. Publish and present the Research findings and experiences in the form of policy advocacy reports at local, national and international levels. Develop partnership within and outside MSSRF [e.g. N G Os, Panchayath Raj Institutions, State institutions, National Agriculture Research System and Universities] for advancing the science of sustainable agricultural and rural development;
- Deep knowledge about sustainability, equality, ecology, gender and cultural traditions, resource economics and various assessment tools and methods. Demonstrates effective written and verbal communication skills. Conceptualizes and analyzes problems to identify key issues, underlying problems, and how they relate.
Qualification and Experience:
- PhD in Social Science,Botany or Agricultural Science (Agronomy, Soil Science,Plant pathology, Agricultural extension, Veterinary science and Extension) and technical expertise in Sustainable Agriculture, and Rural Development. Minimum 7 years of post doctoral experience in rural development with components of community mobilisation, micro-enterprises development, capacity strengthening of farming men and women. Having good command of English and good working knowledge of Malayalam. Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to work well in multicultural teams.
