The post holder is part of a small unit of compensation and benefits staff. They are expected to proactively formulate partnerships across the HR & OD platform to deliver added value accompaniment and support to managers and staff with the aim to facilitate and enable delivery of IRRI’s business objectives.

Responsibilities:

  • Administer staff compensation and benefits according to the HR policies and procedures.
  • Support in the management of the medical and life insurance plan for the local staff.
  • Monitor and update staff members data record in the system and ensure accuracy of data at all times.
  • Organize and take part in the implementation of programs and events (e.g. information sessions, orientations, dissemination of policy formation and changes, etc.).
  • Facilitate the off-boarding procedures for exiting staff.
  • Recognize and identify issues and provide possible solutions to issues raised by stakeholders.
  • Liaise with other HR & OD units to provide seamless human services to other platforms.
  • Coordinate with internal and external clients in the administration of benefits (e.g. visa processing, shipment, travel, education, medical and life insurance, etc.).
  • Coordinate with Finance Unit for processing of payments to vendors and other stakeholders.
  • Work with internal and external groups to organize programs and events related to compensation and benefits.
  • Process payment requests from internal and external clients in timely manner.
  • Prepare and submit accurate payroll reports to AIARC in a timely manner.
  • Prepare reports and documents related to the medical and life insurance to ensure all legitimate transactions are properly recorded and set timelines are met according to related agreements, policies and standards.
  • Respond to and act on inquiries regarding compensation, benefits and operations (e.g. boarding to exit).
  • Clarify issues related to policies, procedures, precedents and current practices related to compensation , benefits and operations.
  • Provide improvement suggestions to supervisors and other stakeholders on processes, systems and procedures.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resource Management, Personnel Management, Industrial Relations or related field
  • Minimum of 3 years relevant work experience.
