The objective of the Human Resources Management (HRM) unit in WPRO is to recruit the best available talent in a timely manner; provide broad range of HR services to WHO employees in the Regional Office, country and liaison offices; promote a culture of staff well-being and development; guide staff on HR matters, including new and reassigned workforce members, as well as managers through the provision of expert advice on human resource related matters, support WHO country offices and technical offices at regional centre level in implementing the DOA for HR functions, providing back up support to optimize HR workforce planning, provide effective and efficient HR services to WPRO workforce based in 38 countries and territories in WHO Western Pacific region.
