The Department of Safeguards carries out the IAEA's duties and responsibilities as the world's nuclear inspectorate, supporting global efforts to stop the spread of nuclear weapons.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the design, development, and updating of training materials for inspectors and staff.
  • Liaise with internal staff and Member State representatives to support training activities.
  • Support the creation of course content, presentations, and learning aids.
  • Conduct research on training needs, best practices, and methodologies.
  • Record and summarize findings to support program improvement and reporting.

Requirements:

  • University degree in social sciences, education, or related field.
  • A certificate in adult education, instructional design, or a related field is an asset.
  • Demonstrated experience in the use of the Systematic Approach to Training or other adult training methodologies and familiarity with blended learning software such as Articulate is an asset
  • Previous experience organizing or assisting with the implementation of training activities is an asset
  • Knowledge of best practices and approaches for creating course content, presentations, and job aids.
  • Previous experience reviewing training data and summarizing findings to support improvements is an asset.
