Responsibilities:

  • Design and develop Power Apps to automate IT services tasks and workflows. 
  • Implement software tools to automate monitoring activities and clean-up processes.
  • Draft and maintain system and desktop configuration documentation and reports. 
  • Support the development of apps for IT asset recording using mobile cameras and barcode scanning.
  • Assist in identifying opportunities for automation and provide recommendations for process improvement.
  • Perform other related duties as required in support of IT service operations.

Requirements:

  • To qualify for the United Nations Secretariat internship programme applicants must, at the time of their submission, be enrolled in the final academic year of a first-level university degree programme (i.e. Bachelor's degree or equivalent degree); be enrolled in a graduate school programme (i.e. Master's degree or equivalent degree, or higher) or have completed an aforementioned academic degree.
  • Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • Proven knowledge of Microsoft Power Apps, Power Automate, ASP.Net, MVC with C# programming language and SQL server experience with related development environments.
  • Skills in programming and scripting languages (e.g., Python, JavaScript, PowerShell) are an asset.
  • Experience in database management, process automation, and application development.
  • English and French are the working languages of the United Nations Secretariat.
  • For this internship, fluency in English or French is required, working knowledge of the other is an asset.
