This role will combine innovation and strong governance expertise to strengthen data governance at scale, strengthen data quality and interoperability, foster a vibrant data culture, and ensure that the ADB's data is ready to power the next generation of AI, predictive, and prescriptive analytics.
Responsibilities:
Act as champion for the evolution from descriptive analytics to AI-powered foresight, enabling leadership to see further, act faster, and decide with confidence.
Contribute to strengthening Data Governance Framework, integrating governance practices directly into operational processes and through data governance councils.
Implement the Data Quality Management and observability controls to ensure data is accurate, reliable, and trusted.
Oversee the certification and institutional rollout of data products, ensuring they become the recognized sources of truth across ADB.
Promote consistent use of certified datasets by integrating them into data catalogs and data marketplace, making them easy to find, understand, and reuse.
Implement and operationalize the Data Marketplace solution, enabling business domain-driven, scalable, and interoperable data products.
Develop a communication and collaboration framework for data sharing agreements, enabling seamless, secure, and value-driven data exchange with both internal stakeholders and external partners.
Oversee the development of high-impact analytics use cases.
Ensure metadata richness, standardization, and governance that enable AI-ready data and advanced analytics.
Contribute to increase data literacy and data enablement programs to empower staff at all levels to discover, understand, and use curated data responsibly.
Build and nurture communities of practice to foster collaboration, innovation, and peer learning across departments.
Champion self-service analytics through accessible data catalogs, governed Application Data Interfaces (APIs), and trusted visualization platforms.
Build partnerships to align data strategy with operational and innovation priorities.
Requirements:
A university degree in Information Management, Data Science, AI, Business Administration, Economics, or a related field, preferably at post-graduate level or its equivalent. Professional certifications in Data Governance, Data Management, or AI are desirable.
At least 6 years of progressive experience in Data Governance, Data Management, or Analytics, and international experience working in several countries.
At least 3 years leadership role in data governance and quality programs that directly enable AI/machine learning (ML) initiatives, predictive analytics, or digital transformation.
Passion for data and its fundamental ability to create value is a must.
Curious and excited to dive into complex problems.
