UNICEF East Asia and Pacific Regional Office (EAPRO) is now seeking a Junior Research Intern for donor mapping, research, and analyses to provide supportive analyses and evidence for UNICEF collaboration efforts with key public and private sector partners.
Work Assignment:
Pipeline mapping available of upcoming development bank's (ADB, IsDB, WB) financing projects relevant to youth education, employability, and skilling (UNDP/UNICEF youth initiative), RO cross-cutting/ cross-sectoral areas and beyond
Desk research and a review conducted of public sector donor strategy and priorities (EAP and ROSA) relevant to the UNDP-UNICEF youth initiative partnership countries (Nepal, Pakistan, Malaysia, Thailand, and Indonesia) and beyond, including relevant support to RO cross-cutting/ cross-sectoral areas
Partner engagement action plan support with global/ regional strategy and priorities of donors
Public sector engagement pipelines and results in UNISON processed and up to date.
Qualifications of Successful Candidate:
Be enrolled in graduate or Ph.D. degree programme or be a recent graduate in social sciences or international development from recognized academic institution.
A first level university degree in combination with qualifying experience may be accepted in lieu of the advanced university degree.
Applicants who have graduated within the past two years are considered recent graduates.
Have excellent academic performance as demonstrated by recent university or institutional records.
Prior experience with international or child rights organizations an asset.
Proven good track records on completion of similar assignments.
