UNICEF East Asia and Pacific Regional Office (EAPRO) is now seeking a Junior Research Intern for donor mapping, research, and analyses to provide supportive analyses and evidence for UNICEF collaboration efforts with key public and private sector partners.

Work Assignment:

  • Pipeline mapping available of upcoming development bank's (ADB, IsDB, WB) financing projects relevant to youth education, employability, and skilling (UNDP/UNICEF youth initiative), RO cross-cutting/ cross-sectoral areas and beyond
  • Desk research and a review conducted of public sector donor strategy and priorities (EAP and ROSA) relevant to the UNDP-UNICEF youth initiative partnership countries (Nepal, Pakistan, Malaysia, Thailand, and Indonesia) and beyond, including relevant support to RO cross-cutting/ cross-sectoral areas
  • Partner engagement action plan support with global/ regional strategy and priorities of donors
  • Public sector engagement pipelines and results in UNISON processed and up to date.

Qualifications of Successful Candidate:

  • Be enrolled in graduate or Ph.D. degree programme or be a recent graduate in social sciences or international development from recognized academic institution.
  • A first level university degree in combination with qualifying experience may be accepted in lieu of the advanced university degree.
  • Applicants who have graduated within the past two years are considered recent graduates.
  • Have excellent academic performance as demonstrated by recent university or institutional records.
  • Prior experience with international or child rights organizations an asset.
  • Proven good track records on completion of similar assignments.

Language Requirements:

  • Fluency in English is required for this position.
