The Programme Leader is responsible for the management of the entire CPF priority area/output “sustainable agri-food value chains for enhanced food and nutrition security” including multidisciplinary projects. S/he provides leadership in the development, monitoring, and steering of FAO Lebanon sub-outputs within the programme portfolio. He /she ensures that expected results are achieved through line management of Technical Coordinators, providing leadership in program design and development, and ensuring programme coherence and linkages for timely and efficient programming.
Responsibilities:
Leadership in the development, implementation, and monitoring of assigned CPF outputs in compliance with FAO guidelines.
Ensure that expected outputs are achieved through line management of Technical Coordinators.
Responsible for monitoring and oversight of all projects within the assigned CPF sub-outputs.
Overall responsibility for resource allocation, budgeting, financial management and programme planning.
Review activities related to budget and funding of assigned CPF Output (programme/project preparation and submissions, progress reports, financial statements, etc.) and provides technical review of related documents/reports (work plans, programme budget, etc.).
Support the FAOR in high-level meetings with donors for effective implementation of programme activities, and ensures adequate information flow, discussions, and feedback among the various stakeholders of the project.
Review relevant documents and reports; identifies problems and issues to be addressed and proposes corrective actions; liaises with relevant parties; identifies and tracks follow-up actions.
Perform other related duties and activities as required.
Requirements:
Advanced degree in agriculture, business and administration, rural development, institutional development, community development, or other relevant fields.
At least 10 years of working experience in managing large projects related to the above area.
