The Watershed Support Services and Activities Network (WASSAN) is a Public Trust based in Hyderabad, Telangana State with a vision to “entrench participatory processes forstrengtheningnatural resources management practices to secure livelihoods of deprived communities in drought prone areas through a network approach”. The key focus of WASSAN has been on improving effectiveness of public investments on natural resource management projects andrain-fed agriculture production systems.
WASSAN is initiating a 3-year project that aims to establish role model villages to improvenatural resource health- soil, water and biomass - for enhanced livelihoods and productivity to benefit communities in the following locations:
WASSAN is in the process of initiating Resource Centres in these locations that will provide a variety of services to farmers’ organizations and other local institutions so that they function effectively.
WASSAN is looking for 1 Project Anchor supported by 2Project Officerswho will establish and lead these Resource Centresin respective locations.
Project Officers (2 positions)
Qualification: Post Graduation (Agriculture / Management / Social sciences) with a minimum of 2years’ experience in relevant field; Experience can be relaxed for outstanding individuals with clear commitments.
Location: 1 Position in Mahbubnagar District, Telangana and 1 Position inAnanthapur District, A.P.
Language: Fluency in Telugu and English (oral and written) and a familiarity with Hindi
Remuneration: Commensurate with experience and capacities
