Job Description

The Public Policy and Advocacy Internship is to provide an educational and rewarding experience to interns interested in working in an international development and relief organization. The intern will have the opportunity to gain hands-on experience that will help develop knowledge required to gain entry in the area of a non-governmental organization (NGO) and public policy and advocacy.


  • Public policy engagement. (Approx. 45% of time)
  • Learn about and support FH’s other departments. (Approx. 25% of time)
  • Pursuit of self-guided learning that can provide helpful information and analysis in furthering the mission of FH’s Public Policy and Advocacy Department. (Approx. 15% of time)
  • Administrative support for Director of Public Policy and Advocacy. (Approx. 15% of time)
