Quality and quantity of expertise as concerns advancement of Eurac Research materials for the minority rights permanent exhibition; quality and quantity in the team context for successful implementation of the minority art contest 2026 and adjunct minority artist human rights actions; effective provision of expertise for the development of OHCHR’s global minority artists human rights defenders action 2024-2028; measurable contribution of successful implementation of minority artists contests; successful expert engagements (multiple) as concerns anti-discrimination law and intersectionality; successful convening of meetings of the provisional Board of Equality for All Academic Action Alliance and launch of the permanent Alliance Board.
Responsibilities:
Provides expertise in support of OHCHR collaboration with Eurac Research, including as part of the development of a permanent exhibition on minority rights of the South Tyrol minorities center project, and related tasks; supports aspects of OHCHR’s expanding programming with Eurac, in particular as linked to (i) development of the permanent exhibition and September 2026 minorities center building site groundbreaking; and (ii) Eurac’s candidacy and development of its role as co-chair of the Equality for All Academic Action Alliance.
Provides expertise in support of the 2026 Minority Artists Awards process and events, including as concerns the run-up to, implementation of, and follow-up to November-December art profiling events, inter alia, as linked to the UN Forum on Minority Issues, as well as concerns.
temporary public exhibition Quai Wilson Geneva (July-August 2026);
support for Eurac public usage of the art contest materials; (iii) interface with Canton and Republic Geneva in the implementation of public outreach work by the artists into Geneva public schools; (iv) digital platform development 2026; (v) other as arising; (vi) provides support and input into OHCHR resource mobilization efforts in support of the minority art action; provides expertise in the development of OHCHR minority artists' human rights defenders programming, including as concerns content, process and logistical action to implement the program, delivered in the form of oral and written expertise as well as regular participation in programmatic meetings; P.104A/GV 01.01.2008 Undertakes discrete expert tasks related to the follow-up of launch of the Guide "Protecting Minority Rights: A Practical Guide on Developing Comprehensive Anti-Discrimination Legislation," including in particular as concerns French and Spanish-language rollout, further research and engagement as concerns national-level implementation, in coordination with external civil society and academic partners; in particular, the consultant focuses on the development of the Equality for All Academic Action Alliance, with a view to the 1 July 2026 launch of its permanent Board; Expands network of interlocutors for the Minority Artists and Equality for All Academic Action Alliance initiatives under IPMS direction and in consultation with DEXREL, COMMS,, and other relevant parties;
Requirements:
Advanced degree in law, human rights, or a similar field.
At least 5 years of relevant work experience Ability with graphic design programs and a demonstrable track record of convening and consultation.
