The incumbent will work closely with country offices, implementing partners, and regional stakeholders to help produce multimedia outputs that are technically appropriate, ethically handled and aligned with MPRR-SSA’s communications and visibility goals. This role contributes to strengthening the programme’s regional narrative, supporting donor engagement, and amplifying the voices of migrants and returnees through quality visual storytelling.

Requirements:

  • Assist in developing multimedia content (short videos, photography, audio) to document MPRR-SSA activities, success stories, reintegration processes, and regional events, in coordination with country offices and in line with IOM ethical storytelling standards.
  •  Support the preparation and layout of communication materials, including campaign visuals, social media graphics, banners, factsheets, presentations, and branded templates, maintaining consistency with IOM’s visual identity.
  •  Provide technical support during regional events and field missions, including audiovisual documentation, equipment setup, and multimedia logistics.
  • Support the ethical collection, consent documentation, and secure archiving of visual materials in line with IOM data protection and communications guidelines.
  •  Assist in managing and maintain a structured multimedia asset archive, including proper labelling, metadata input, and file retrieval systems.
  • Support the review of visual content submitted by country offices and implementing partners to verify alignment with IOM branding and donor visibility guidelines.
  •  Contribute to the development of visibility and donor reporting packages by compiling relevant multimedia materials and performance indicators.
  • Assist in capacity building to country focal points and implementing partners in visual storytelling, ethical communications, and branding through feedback and guidance.
  • Perform other related duties as may be assigned.

Education:

  • High school diploma with six years of relevant professional experience.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Multimedia Production, Digital Media, Visual Communication, Journalism, Graphic Design, Communication Arts, or a related field from an accredited academic institution, with four years of relevant professional experience.
  • Accredited Universities are those listed in the UNESCO World Higher Education Database.

 Work Experience:

  •   Proven experience in multimedia production, including video shooting/editing, photography, graphic design, and use of multimedia software (Adobe Creative Suite). 
  • Proficiency with Adobe Creative Suite (Premiere Pro, After Effects, Illustrator, Photoshop), Canva, and other editing tools. 
  • Experience working in humanitarian or development contexts.
  • Familiarity with consent protocols, ethical storytelling, and digital asset management.

Skills:

  • Strong visual storytelling and post-production skills.
  • Ability to work independently under pressure and meet deadlines.
  • Capacity to coordinate and collaborate with remote teams across multiple countries.
  • Knowledge of IOM branding and donor visibility requirements is a strong asset.
